Doris Anne Romriell

Doris Anne Romriell, 83, Pocatello , ID died peacefully Aug. 16, 2021.  She was born February 23, 1938 on a cold wintery night at her family home in McCammon, ID to her parents Lyman James Girrard and Mabel Anne Marcham.  She was the sixth child born to her parents, four brothers, Lyman, Lester, Marlin & Edward and one sister, Velma.  When she was about two years old her father had a stroke and passed away.  Her mother was left a widow with 6 small children.  She said she couldn't remember much about her younger life except that her older brothers always looked out for her and were concerned about her welfare.

In a few years she gained a new step-father, Ned Lewis, and three more children were added to the family, two girls, Jetta and Alice and one boy, Ron.  Ned and her mom were only married a few years when tragedy struck their family again.  Ned was employed at the cement plant in Inkom, ID where he had an accident and was killed.  Again,  her mother was left with 9 kids to care for.  When she was in fifth grade her mother married again to George Elester Jensen and another child was born, a boy, Les (Bub) Jensen.

Doris attended elemetary school in McCammon, ID. She moved to Gibsonville, ID and lived in Salmon, ID where she attended Jr. High and graduated from Salmon High School.

She married Jerold Romriell, March 15, 1957 in Pocatello, ID.  Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, UT Temple, May 26, 1976.  They made their home in McCammon, ID and later moved to Arimo, ID.  Once their children were married and moved on with their families, they moved to Boise, ID where Jerold, her loving husband passed away August 9, 1988.  Doris spent the next 25 years in Brawley, CA with her brother Ron and later her son Larry moved there.  In 2015, she moved to Pocatello, ID where she lived with her daughter Danita and son in law Randy Hackworth.

Survivors include, three daughters, Debby (Gene) Lish, Pocatello, Danita (Randy) Hackworth, Pocatello, Diana (Michael) Swanson, Boise ID. Two sons, Larry (Sue) Romriell, Brawley, CA, Jon Romriell, Boise, ID.  Two sisters, Alice Parks and Jetta Smith, one brother Les (Bub) Jensen, 14 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandkids.  Numerous Nieces and Nephews that she loved very much and enjoyed spending time with.
