Donna Marie Thau

Pocatello - Donna Marie Thau, 51, of Pocatello passed away Monday evening Nov. 30, 2009. She was born March 12, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of John C. and Irene Elizabeth Eichelberger Burris.

Donna received her Master of Literacy at Idaho State University. She taught at Franklin Jr. High for the past nine years and had been with the district for more than twenty years. Before coming to Franklin Jr. High, where she taught art and some algebra classes, she taught at Bonneville Elementary School. Donna was a finalist for the 2008-2009 Simplot Inspirational Teacher Award. She also worked at Convergys in addition to her teaching. She liked her colleagues there very much. She taught with and enjoyed other teachers and students. She will be greatly missed.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Julia Brumer, Brookline, Massachusetts; her mother, Irene Felts, Phoenix, Maryland; a sister, Ann Ford, Phoenix, Maryland; two brothers, Russell Felts, William Felts, both of Maryland.

Funeral services and interment will be held in Maryland. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
