Derek Jon Sanders

Derek Sanders, 41, completed his mortal journey on November 13, 2023.  He entered the world on July 11, 1982 in Pocatello, Idaho.

He loved the outdoors and especially fishing.  He enjoyed camping and hunting for snakes and lizards.  He loved all sports, especially basketball.  Derek had his own struggles that he dealt with.  By the end of his life, he had overcome his biggest demons creating his happiest, most authentic self.

He was a kind and loving man - always willing to help those in need.  He made friends easily and was surrounded with family and friends daily.  He truly wanted to do whatever he could to express his love and appreciation for others.  He was quick to love and even faster to forgive.  He was vibrant, joyful, patient, kind, loving, enthusiastic, passionate, loyal and free.

Derek is a powerful, loving, forgiving man of light.  He recently attended Impact training in Bluffdale, Utah.  This training gave him the confidence to experience and know who he really was and how to share his light with the world.  His training group honored him with a Celebration of Life, which was attended by many people whose lives were forever changed by their association with him.

He is survived by his mother, Pam Sanders and four siblings - Dustin (Michelle), Breanne (Jace), Rylie (Andrea), Bradlee (Kyah), and four half siblings - Shawna (Thomas), Brian (Amy), Ashlee, Tony and 11 nieces and 8 nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Michael Sanders and all of his grandparents.

We are grateful for our belief in forever families and look forward to seeing him again someday.
