Lava Hot Springs - Della C. Bennett Egley Profaizer, 89, longtime resident of Lava Hot Springs passed away July 25, 2010 at a local care center in Pocatello.
She was born on September 18, 1920 in Mink Creek, Idaho to her father, George Bennett and mother, Alverna Victoria Christensen.
She attended schools in Mink Creek and graduated from Mink Creek High School. She like sewing and was a 4-H Leader for over 20 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She belonged to the D.U.P. (Daughter of Utah Pioneers) for many years. She was active in the L.D.S. church and served in various callings.
She is survived by her son George D. (Carolyn) Egley of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and her daughter Linda (Steven) Stephenson of Kirtland, New Mexico. She is also survived by her 5 grand children Dixie Spitale, Darwin (Destiny) Egley, Steven T. Stephenson, Lori Stephenson, Roger Stephenson and her 6 great grandchildren Dominic Martinez, Dalton Egley, Erin Spitale, Justin Stephenson, Cody Stephenson, Austin Stephenson. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters and her eternal husband George Roger Egley.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at 12 noon at the Lava Hot Springs L.D.S. Chapel with Bishop Chaud Spitzer officiating. There will be a family viewing on Wednesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. Following the family viewing the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Internment will be in the Lava Hot Springs City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel 510 N. 12th Ave.
