Danielle A. Stoddard

Pocatello-Danielle Carlin Stoddard, 63, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010 from an extended illness.

Danielle was born and raised in Pocatello. She was born on July 5, 1946 to Claude and Anne Carlin, She was blessed with four children, Sara, Cory, David and Jami.

Danielle was a very strong, loving, and forgiving person. She has accomplished a lot in the time she was here. She loved to compete in beauty pageants. She was Miss Congeniality in the Miss Pocatello Pageant in 1964. She was a very talented dancer. Dancing was her passion. She was also in Job's Daughters, and was a model for them. There are many pictures and articles in the paper about her as she danced and showed her beauty and talents. She graduated from Highland High School and then went on to receive a marketing degree. She loved to go camping, and go on long drives. She was always willing to help anybody that she could. She took classes at ISU to try and get her CNA. She loved to cook and bake from scratch, which is a talent she passed on to her daughters. She also volunteered for fundraisers, bake-offs, helping the elderly and she loved to help at the schools when her children were there. She will be known as an amazing mother and friend. There are many memories and great things to say about her. She is loved very much and will be missed dearly.

Danielle is survived by a sister, Marilyn Stewart, four children, Sara Stoddard, Cory (Angela) Stoddard, David (Kristen) Carranza, and Jami (Ramon) Garcia, and nine grandchildren. Tristan, Austin,Chase, Brayden, Spencer, Madison, Devalyn, Memphis, and Dimitrius, two nieces, Janice and Lisa, and one nephew, Clark. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Claude and Anne Carlin.

The family would like to extend thanks to the ICU staff at Portneuf Medical Center and the nursing staff on the fifth floor at Portneuf Medical Center, for taking such excellent care of our mother.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Home, located at 510 N. 12th Ave, Pocatello, Idaho. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
