Craig Call Marley, 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep January 21, 2017 in Blackfoot.
He was born October 24, 1952 to Bert Woodland and Betty Jane Call Marley in Blackfoot, Idaho. Craig, who was mentally and physically challenged, grew up in and attended special education classes in California, Utah and Idaho. After living at home for several years, he lived in group homes in Pocatello, Shelly and Blackfoot.
Craig worked at New Day Enterprises, a sheltered workshop for about fifteen years until failing health made it impossible to continue. For many years, he was active in Special Olympics, participating in swimming, bowling, and track events.
He always met you with a bright smile and a recitation of your genealogy. Along with his childlike love and cleverness lurked an amazing sense of humor. Craig enjoyed eating, talking to people, putting puzzles together, doing word searches, and spending time with family. He absolutely loved holding and playing with little children.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Call Marley, his brother David C. Marley and sister-in- law Margo Marley.
He is survived by his father, Bert W. Marley, and three siblings, Bert C. (Michelle) Marley of McCammon, Pamela (Michael) Gower of Chubbuck, and Quentin C. (Michelle) Marley of Yucaipa, CA, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Jana Hebdon and the entire staff at the Cedar Living Center for their diligent, loving, attentive care of Craig these past few years. He was truly happy there and considered it home. You are all awesome.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1pm in the McCammon Stake Center, with a viewing from 11:30 to 12:45. There will also be a viewing in Blackfoot on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Cedar Living Center, 270 Cedar St. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Norton Cemetery in McCammon.
