Cloyde Murdock, 83, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015. He was born June 21, 1931, in Victor, Idaho, the son of Lorin and Edith Murdock.
Cloyde was the oldest of four children. He has two living sisters, Ranae (Bill) Denton; Sandy (Vernal) Beal. He was preceded in death by his sister, Leareane Orton.
Cloyde met Beverly Daley, the love of his life at Deleta Dance Hall, here in Pocatello. They were married shortly after on February 23, 1951. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Cloyde gave Beverly the one thing she wanted most in life, four beautiful children; Kelly, Kenny, Karma, Karen.
Cloyde loved music!!! Performing for people was his passion. He called for the Choo-Choos Square Dancing Club for 25 years. He had a dance band for 46 years. He loved camping and fishing with his family. He served in the National Guard in the early 50"s. He worked in construction most of his life. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church and served in many callings.
Cloyde is survived by the love of his life, Beverly, 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grand children. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the 9th Ward L.D.S. Chapel. (Quinn & Hawthorne.)
