Pocatello - Christine Harris Heer born on Jan 7, 1943 in Lava Hot Springs, ID, left her earthly life on Nov. 22, 2009 in Pocatello, ID. She is preceded in death by her mother, Erma Dene Harris. She is survived by her father, Vernon Thomas Harris of McCammon, ID, and five brothers and two sisters; Kaye (Howard) Romriell of McCammon, ID, Mark (Margie) Harris of Boise, ID, Lynn (Janie) Harris of Pocatello, ID, Lorraine (Bill) Hunter of Salt Lake, UT, Bob (Yvonne) Harris of Wyoming, Jim (Mari Lynn) Harris of Idaho Falls, ID, and Richard (Sue) Harris of Idaho Falls, ID. She also left behind her husband Clinton Don Heer and nine children; Shawn LeVell Lake of Boise, ID, Dean H. (Christine) Lake of Montpelier, ID, Todd Lee Lake of Pocatello, ID, Michael Drew Lake of Rexburg, ID, Amy Dawn Heer of Pocatello, ID, Nichole Berry of Pocatello, ID, Chantelle (Mike) Roberts of Pocatello, ID, Meri Lyn (Shane) Sistrunk of Pocatello, ID and James Alan Heer of Pocatello, Idaho. She is survived by 27 grandchildren and 2-great grandchildren.

Her kindness abounded and was not limited to her large family. She was well known for her crocheting and donated crocheted hats to less fortunate children throughout Pocatello, especially to the children involved in Head Start. Her open, kind and soft heart will be sorely missed as well as her efforts defending and championing her children. She believed in life-long learning and was an avid reader and enjoyed word puzzles. She will be missed dearly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCammon L.D.S. Stake Center with Bishops Counselor, Clayton Case, of the Mountainview Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery, McCammon, Idaho. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.. A special thanks to Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel for their help and generosity.
