Charolette Sue Kissel passed away at The University of Utah Hospital on November 4, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 8, 1953 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Robert James and Etta Vida “Vi” Lamb. She was the middle of three kids.
Charolette met her devoted husband, Michael Kissel during his time stationed at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, NM. They were married on July 8, 1971 in Inkom, ID. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple a few years later. In 2021, Charolette and Mike were able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with many family and friends.
Charolette loved and raised five beautiful children who were her pride and joy. Bobby, Crystal, Clay, Amanda, and Tyrel, your mom loved you all more than anything. Her legacy lives on through you and your children. Bobby said, “We never had much, but she made sure we never went without.”
Charolette loved spending time with her family and friends. She cooked for crowds and was active in her community. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in which she served in many callings. She enjoyed crafts, especially crocheting and quilting. Charolette loved playing dice and card games with her family.
Charolette is survived by her husband Mike Kissel, her five children Bobby (Audra) Kissel, Crystal (Dan) Ward, Clayton (Becky) Kissel, Amanda (Aaron) Miles, Tyrel (Katie) Kissel, and her sister Rosetta Cramer. She has fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Albert Lamb, her mother and father-in-law, and her best friend/sister Neddra "Pixie" Golden.
Mom, you will be missed more than you know. We hope you are having a joyous reunion with those you missed dearly. We love you and we will carry your memory with us wherever we go. Until we meet again.
