Boyd I. Nisson

Our beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather peacefully passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017.
Boyd was born February 17, 1948 in Pocatello, Idaho, the son of Ivan Grant Nisson and Jean McCombs Nisson.
Boyd excelled in many things, school, hunting, and especially his love for basketball. Boyd attended Highland High School and upon his graduation in 1966 was inducted into the school Hall of Fame for his basketball achievements. He then went to ISU on a basketball scholarship graduating in 1971.
Following his desire to study law, he attended the University of Idaho Law School and graduated in 1974 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. While in Law School, Boyd met and married Susan Ellis and together have a daughter, Amy. He and Susan later divorced. Boyd married Leta Van Hoy in September 2003.
Boyd was a sweet spirit that brought joy to all he knew and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his Wife Leta, his Mother Jean McCombs Nisson, Daughter Amy Stack, Granddaughter Kate, Brother Dave Nisson, and Sister Jeanie Purdue.
Boyd was preceded in death by his father, Ivan G. Nisson.
A viewing was held Monday July 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
Funeral services will be held today Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 am, LDS Church Meadowbrook Ward 300 East Chapel Street in Pocatello, with a viewing prior to the funeral from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
