Pocatello - Betty Lou Edgley, 67, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away Monday evening February 27, 2012 at a local care center following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born May 29, 1944 in Boise, Idaho. She was adopted by James E. and Ruby Blalock Keaton of Pocatello.

Betty attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School (class of 1962). She attended Idaho State University where she received her nursing training and certificate as an LPN. She worked as a nurse at Bannock Memorial Hospital (later Portneuf Medical Center) for 37 years.

On September 8, 1962 she married Richard "Dick" Edgley in Pocatello. Dick passed away May 12, 1996,

Betty enjoyed her family and loved going boating, fishing and hunting. She always supported her children and grandchildren in their activities. She was the "Team Mom" for the church softball team. She was an avid NASCAR and Atlanta Braves fan. She always had a cheerful and enthusiastic a personality. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Lisa (Ron) Winters, Chubbuck, Idaho; Jared (Angel) Edgley, Victorville, California; four grandchildren, Brad and Darby Winters; Ezabella and Colton Edgley. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel, 1633 Olympus Dr. with Pastor Jeff Fadness, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
