Pocatello- Bertha Ann Chapman, 61, passed away March 18, 2015 at Portneuf Medical Center. She was born October 10, 1953, in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Melville Joseph and Mina Bertha Moffat Wright. She attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Highland High School.
She was active in pep club and rodeo club. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, crocheting, traveling and panning for gold. She served in the Jr. Sunday School as secretary. She was a teacher in Sunday school, Primary, and Relief Society. She enjoyed being a visiting teacher. She was dedicated and actively participated for ten years in family history.
She will be missed dearly by all who knew her and never forgotten by those she touched.
Bertha is survived by her sister, Teresa Bowlin; niece, Rachelle Heritage; nephew, Richard Bowlin; niece, April (Ivan) Gilder; great nephew, Dabrian Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Chapman; her parents, Melville and Nina Wright.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 12 Noon at the L.D.S. 29th Ward Chapel, (1700 Kinghorn) with Bishop Dennis R. Oliver officiating. The family will meet with friends on Monday evening, March 23, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and on Tuesday 1 hour prior to services at the church.
