Pocatello - Anna Leighty Roth Green, 77, longtime resident of Pocatello, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Portneuf Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born April 6, 1930 in Lewistown, Illinois a daughter of William Dewey and Sarah Jane Leighty Roth.

She lived in many places prior to moving to McCammon, Idaho in 1948 where her father worked for the newspaper. She graduated from McCammon High School.

On September 15, 1949 she married Farrell L. Green in Pocatello. They moved to Pocatello in 1951 where they have made their home for 57 years.

She worked as a Librarian for the Portneuf District Library for 48 years. She enjoyed traveling and going to Hawaii was her favorite as she and Farrell had been there about seven times. They had also been on several Alaska cruises which she very much enjoyed.

She is survived by her husband Farrell L. Green, Pocatello; a nephew, Alan (Cheryl) Coulter, Moses Lake, Washington; and their two daughters, Heather and Sarah Jane. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Dorothy Yancer and a brother William Roth.

Persuant to her wishes cremation has taken place. No public funeral services will be held. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery in McCammon.

The family requests no flowers. Arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
