Pocatello- Alice Faye Larsen Painter, 68, passed into the hands of her Savior on February 12, 2009 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 16, 1940 in Riverside, Idaho, the daughter of, Glen and LaFay (Hopla) Larsen. She was a beloved daughter, wife and mother. She was married to Sidney W. Painter in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS temple on December 18, 1978.

She was the dedicated mother of 7 children: Jana Beutler (Ron) Holland of Tucson, Arizona: Kelly Beutler (Evan) Wells of Granite Bay, California; Gail Beutler (Daryn) Crawford of Granite Bay, California; Diana Painter of Pocatello; Katrina Painter of Boise, Idaho; John Andrew Painter(deceased); Kathryn Painter of Boise, Idaho. She was the grandmother of 4: Spencer and Parker Crawford; Samantha and Zachary Wells. She was the oldest of 11 children: sisters, Peggy (David) Wright of St. Anthony, Idaho; April Thornton of Aumsville, Oregon; Bernice (Rulon) Workman of Prineville, Oregon: brothers, Lloyd (Tina) Larsen of Blackhawk, Colorado; Ken (Barbie) Larsen of Turner, Oregon; Byron (Alice) Larsen of Salem, Oregon; Dale (Danelle) Larsen of Turner,Oregon; Jeff Larsen of Salem, Oregon; James Larsen (deceased); Roger (Rosilan) Larsen (deceased).

She was a selfless volunteer in many organizations including foster care and Compassionate Friends. She held may church callings including Young Woman's President, Primary President, and Teacher, Nursery Teacher and recently was a Nursing Home Volunteer. Her gentle smile and sweet spirit will be remembered and missed by all who were blessed by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Andrew Painter, her father, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the Pocatello LDS West Stake Center (Hawthorne Road & W.Eldredge) with Bishop Brett Mower of the 52nd Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Groveland Idaho Cemetery.
