Ronald Arthur Cartner, 71, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 27, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 10, 1944, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of William and Flora Cartner.
He married his sweetheart of 47 years Carrie (Wolf) Cartner on July 29, 1967. They made their home in Ashtabula, Ohio, until 1979, they then moved their family to Utah.
Their family grew to 4 daughters, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, which they loved dearly.
He served in the United States Army for two years and served in Vietnam War for one year. He was very proud of his country, family and friends.
He was an amazing man who was full of life and loved being with his family and friends. He touched the hearts of everyone who met him. He loved camping and fishing with his family and friends. He loved listening to country music. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie (Wolf) Cartner, 4 girls, Tina Erickson, Ronni Stout, B.J.Cartner, Jissyca Mathews; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister; several nieces and nephews; 1 special Army buddy, Kenneth F. Dietrich. He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers.
Memorial gathering for family and friends will be held July 18, 2015 at the family home (422 South Arthur) from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
