David C. Saurey Cherry Hill, N.J. - David Cloyd Saurey, 47, of Hyrum, Utah and formerly of Pocatello, Idaho passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey while there on job training from an apparent heart attack.
He was born April 28, 1960 in Pocatello, Idaho, a son of Daniel and Elaine Bauman Saurey. He attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. He worked as a meat cutter with his father at Dan's Food Town and also at Smith's, Albertson's and Fred Meyers. On October 10, 1987, he married Jana Gardner in Pocatello, Idaho. He became a meat inspector for the U.S.D.A. in 2003 and was in New Jersey for special training with his job at the time of his death. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, hiking and being out doors. He also had a beautiful gun collection. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and three wonderful children. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include: his wife, Jana Saurey, Hyrum, Utah; his parents, Dan and Elaine Saurey, Pocatello, Idaho; 2 sons, Joshua D. Saurey and Nickolas T. Saurey both of Hyrum, Utah; a daughter, Breana J. Saurey, Hyrum, Utah; a brother, Todd Saurey, Chubbuck, Idaho; a sister, Jodi (Brandon) Hirada, Boise, Idaho.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountainview Cemetery (Section 32 East). The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m,. at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho.
